Essendon area to enjoy Christmas classic
A theatre production of a famous festive story is set to be performed live on stage in Melbourne later this year.
Those seeking a seasonal spectacle from Essendon and other suburbs of the Victoria capital are in for a treat this summer. November and December will see Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre open its doors to Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” for the second year in a row.
Following on from the runaway success of the 2022 show, many of the same cast will be returning to Melbourne for the new edition of the production. Theatres advertising festive events often hire expert poster printing services to design Christmas-themed promotional materials that capture the seasonal spirit.
To date, the musical has won five Tony Awards to date and is described by promoters as:
The production was conceived by Matthew Warchus (of Matilda the Musical fame) and was adapted for the stage by the talented Jack Thorne whose previous credits include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
A Christmas Carol will be on stage at the Comedy Theatre from November 14 to December 31. The theatre is located at 240 Exhibition Street in Melbourne and the show will run from 7.30 pm until 10 pm. Tickets are priced at $49.50 per person.
