What's Happening in Essendon, VIC…

Direct flights to Dubbo to begin in September

Twice-weekly flights direct from Melbourne’s Essendon airport to Dubbo in country NSW are scheduled to begin operation on 28th September. Flights will leave Dubbo at 10.35 am on Friday and Sunday to arrive at Essendon at 12.30pm. The return flight will leave Essendon at 1.05 pm to arrive in Dubbo at 2.50pm.

The route will be operated by

Fly Corporate, which is looking to increase its regional network, and hopes that it will be of use to workers in the mining and agricultural services. Fly Corporate CEO, Andrew Major, said that the airline had chosen Essendon for its Melbourne flights because of its convenient location relatively close to the CBD, the lack of congestion at the airport and the availability of economical parking. For inbound passengers wanting to connect with other flights a free shuttle bus operates between Essendon and Tullamarine airports.

Fly Corporate was founded in 2016. It is a Queensland based airline operating from Brisbane airport to various major and regional airports in NSW and Queensland. Its blue and white logo design is becoming familiar to passengers wishing to fly from Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Inverell, Moree, Narrabri, Orange, Tamworth and Biloela. Flights from Brisbane to Dubbo began in August this year. Fly Corporate aims to become the airline of choice for people living in regional areas through its reliability, safety and personalised service.
