Christmas Toy run delivering to local children

Tabcorp Park, near Essendon, will be the place to be once more for the annual Christmas Toy Run.

Beginning in 1978, this year will be the 39th time the Run has taken place, with the Victorian Motorcycle Council sponsoring the event. Motorcyclists of all varieties attend with family and friends and have fun decorating their motorbikes, or indeed, scooters or trikes if they prefer, for Christmas.

Riders will transport toys and foods for disadvantaged children, which will be gladly accepted at the end of the ride by the Salvation Army, who will be standing by with trucks to deliver the goods as part of their Christmas Appeal.

Activities will be available for the whole family, including stunt shows and truck shows, and face painting and a jumping castle for the children. Local organisations will be operating stalls. Food and drink stalls will be installed to cater for hungry visitors.

It is likely that Flyers and poster printing will be produced to advertise the Toy Run. It is also possible that Signs will be in place to guide riders to their destination, and business stall holders may be offering Promotional Products.

The Toy Run will take place on Sunday, December 18 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from Tabcorp Park at 2 Ferris Road, in Melton. Admission to the event is open to all.
