Auto fest cruising into Moonee Valley
Car lovers from Essendon will be in their element next month as the Australian Motoring Festival comes to the nearby Melbourne Showgrounds.
The event covers everything from new cars to old classics, and aims to provide entertainment for petrol heads of all ages.
Brochure printers will have been employed by the various car manufacturers to detail the specifications of all the latest models, and perhaps encourage visitors to invest in a new vehicle while browsing in the new car pavilion to see the latest models.
Buyers in the market for a vintage car should attend on Sunday, March 29th, when an auction of classic cars will be held.
Those with a preference for sportier models can head to the Ferrari exhibition, showcasing 30 years of the Italian supercar, while those who actually want to get behind a wheel can try one of the two test tracks either on road or off road.
Youngsters can show off their own driving prowess on the dodgem cars, and older children thinking about a career in car design can find out more about working in the automotive industry.
The Australian Motoring Festival takes place at the Melbourne Showgrounds from Thursday, March 26th to Sunday, March 29th. It is open from 10am to 8pm every day except Sunday, when the show closes at 6pm. For full details and to purchase tickets, visit the festival website.
