Actor and writer to address businesswomen at networking lunch
Magda Szubanski, well known for her acting and writing activities, will be speaking at the Women in Business lunch at Essendon this month.
An award-winning Australian actress perhaps best known for her roles portraying Mrs. Hoggett in the films ‘Babe’ and ‘Pig in the City’, Szubanski is expected to be a popular drawcard to this event. Szubanski will be speaking to the audience about her experiences as an actress, a comedian and an author and how she has approached the challenges she has encountered along the way.
This is the 10th year that this networking opportunity has been offered and is closely aligned with International Women’s Day earlier in the month. The lunch is an opportunity for businesswomen to network with others and forge business relationships.
Presented by the Moonee Valley Council, and led by Master of Ceremonies, Bernadette Schwerdt who is a businesswoman in the community and an experienced TEDx speaker, this is one of the most anticipated business events in the community. Business lunches such as this usually include banner printing and attendees may possess business cards to share with others.
The Women in Business lunch can be enjoyed from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Friday, March 24 at the Australian Events Centre on 1 Larkin Boulevard at Essendon Fields.
