Entrepreneurs from around Dandenong can enjoy an afternoon of networking while raising money for a good cause next month at the annual Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce charity lunch.
This year the event will raise money for the ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ which helps young children with life-threatening illnesses fulfil a wish.
The guest speaker will be former AFL player, Tim Watson. Watson played more than 300 games for Essendon winning three premierships in the process and becoming renowned for his speed on the field. After retiring in 1994, he became part of the Channel Seven commentary team and has since hosted several sports shows on both television and radio, as well as a spending a stint as coach of St Kilda.
As well as hearing Watson speak, guests will also be able to bid on sporting memorabilia in a series of auctions, as well as take part in raffles to help raise money for the charity.
While the event is meant to be a fun afternoon, it will also be a good networking opportunity so anyone attending should make sure their business card printing is up to date beforehand in case they want to hand over their details to a potential new client or partner.
The lunch will be held on Wednesday September 30 at the Sandhurst Club. Tickets can be booked through the Chamber of Commerce.
