The session is being arranged by Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect South East Metro, an organisation that provides support in the community.
Rachael Morris, the founder of Little Art Big Art, will be on hand to offer guidance no matter what the skill level of the participants. Morris is an enthusiastic and committed teacher as well as an artist, with experience teaching young people and also adults with additional needs.
The class is deigned to be a creative escape, with no expectation of output. It is an opportunity to learn, explore and take risks in a safe, non-judgemental environment, with the process being more important than the finished outcome. As the sculptor Henry Moore said:
“To be an artist is to believe in life.”
In order to generate repeat business, some companies will distribute Business Cards to interested participants.
