The Greater Dandenong City Council and VicHealth are looking to hear from the youth of Dandenong about how they can help shape a healthier future.
Aiming to promote active and socially connected communities, the City of Greater Dandenong Youth Services will be running a series of workshops and are looking at youth aged between 12 to 18 years to speak up and lend their voices to the conversation.
Organised with the intent of identifying issues of local concern and generating creative solutions by the people directly affected, the sessions will allow participants to share their own experiences and offer their hopes for the future. Community-based workshops such as this can benefit from flyer printing to help advertise key details to potential attendees.
Offering two sessions, which participants can elect to register for one or both, the programme will kick off with group discussions aimed at unpacking the key priorities for young people’s physical and mental health and wellbeing. The second session will then pick up from the threads of workshop one, delving deeper into the findings and exploring potential barriers to healthy lifestyles.
The two workshops are scheduled to run on Thursday, 24 February and Thursday, 24 March, respectively, at the Springvale Library from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. More information is available from the Greater Dandenong Youth Services website.
