Dandenong to welcome quirky comedy

A hit comedian is bringing his brand-new show to a Dandenong theatre later this year.

Those on the hunt for laughs in Dandenong won’t have to wait long. September will see Australian funny man Nazeem Hussain return to form with a new stand-up show at The Drum Theatre. Local venues like clubs and theatres welcoming comedians to their stages sometimes reach out to skilled flyer printing services to create hand-to-hand adverts they can use to encourage attendance at shows.

Entitled “Totally Normal”, the show will find the Melbourne comic explaining what he’s been up to during his two-year hiatus from the stand-up circuit.

An acclaimed comedian, actor, radio and television presenter, Hussein is best known for his successful comedy shows called “Orange in the New Brown”, “Legally Brown” and the Netflix and YouTube specials “Public Frenemy” and “Hussain in the Membrane”.

In 2022, the multi-talented comedian launched a book series for children through Scholastic Australia based on his character Hy-larious Hyena.

Nazeem Hussain will now be live on stage at the Drum Theatre on Saturday, September 7. The show will begin at 7.30 pm and is 50 minutes long with no interval. The venue is sited at the corner of Lonsdale Street and Walker Street in Dandenong and tickets priced at $39.99 are only available to those aged 15 or over.
