Melbourne is set to host the last show of a US rock band’s Australian tour.
Music fans from Dandenong and other parts of Melbourne will soon have a chance to see American rockers Boys Like Girls in concert when they play their final show in Australia. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Boys Like Girls formed back in 2005. The rock group achieved mainstream recognition when they released their debut album. Self-titled, the record went on to sell more than 700,000 Copies in the US. As a result, Boys Like Girls earned a Gold Record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
On their Australian tour, the band are joined by another US rock group, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. With five studio albums under their belt, the group is best known for its hit singles “Face Down”, “Your Guardian Angel” and “False Pretence”.
Boys Like Girls are set to play at the acclaimed Melbourne venue 170 Russell on Tuesday, October 4. The show will start at 7 pm with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus taking the stage, and it will end at 10 pm with the headline act’s final track.
