A celebration of an American rock band is coming to Dandenong.
A charity concert will see tribute group the Australian Blondie Show take to the stage in Dandenong. The band will perform faithful versions of songs from the US punk sensation, originally formed by Debbie Harry and Chris Stein back in the 70s.
While Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the US, the group’s first two albums were exceptionally successful in Australia and the UK.
The live music event is organised by Melbourne’s John McGreal of the John Mc Foundation. Organisers and promoters of local concerts can sometimes use professional flyer printing services to create eye-catching leaflets to hand out to the public to encourage them to attend.
For the price of a $65 ticket, those attending can enjoy a two-course dinner with the show and a chance to help charities in the area. The proceeds from the evening will be donated to local soup vans and kitchens operating around Dandenong. Those attending are likely to hear Blondie’s major hits, including “Heart of Glass” and “Call Me”. The tribute band will be backed by a special guest for the event, a Robbie Williams tribute.
The Australian Blondie Show will be held at the Dandenong Club at 1579 Heatherton Road on Saturday, September 4. The show will begin at 6pm and end at 10.30 pm.
