The City of Greater Dandenong is inviting families to join in on a special online birthday celebration.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the annual Greater Dandenong Children’s Festival, this year, the event is paying heed to COVID restrictions, with all the festivities taking place online.
Bukjeh, together with the Drum Theatre, will be running a series of online arts workshops dubbed “Home Away from Home” throughout the school holidays. Designed for culturally diverse groups, the workshops will be run in both English and Arabic and will cover everything from cooking to dance and podcasting. Community-based youth programmes such as this often benefit from flyer printing for promotional purposes.
To help celebrate the festival’s 10th year, Dandenong’s council will also be running an online series of playdates for kids and families to interact, join in online games and simply have fun. These playdates will be limited to groups of 10 and will run for an hour. To access either the Home Away from Home workshops or online playdates, participants require an email address and an active internet connection.
The 10th annual Greater Dandenong Children’s Festival commenced on 18th September and will run until 3rd October, and all events are free to join. Pre-registration is essential, however, as spaces are strictly limited. More information can be found on the City of Greater Dandenong website.
