Dance enthusiasts and ballet fans are being invited to a special Christmas performance of the classic two-act ballet The Nutcracker, featuring Tchaikovsky’s infamous suite.
Originally planned for an August performance, due to the COVID lockdown, the Victorian State Ballet is now performing the timeless classic in time for the festive season instead.
Based on the story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, the story of The Nutcracker is set on Christmas Eve and tells the story of a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life and battles against an evil Mouse King. Performed all over the world, since its original 1982 performance, it has gone on to become the most famous and well-known example of ballet performance. Dance performances and other events such as this can benefit from poster printing to advertise to potential audiences.
Promising a magical and enchanting experience designed to thrill children and adults alike, the Victorian State Ballet will be offering two performances to Dandenong audiences at The Drum theatre in early December. Each performance is scheduled to run for 120 minutes with an interval.
The Victorian State Ballet’s performances of The Nutcracker are scheduled for 1:30 pm and 5 pm on Sunday, December 5 at The Drum Theatre on Lonsdale and Walker Streets. Bookings are essential, and tickets can be purchased online via The Drum Theatre’s website.
