Two consecutive nights of comedy are coming to Melbourne this December as part of a popular yearly event.
Those looking for laughs as they wrap up the year in Dandenong will soon be able to attend an event happening in Melbourne before the end of the year. The two day-occasion will take place in December and is dubbed “The War On 2023: Annual Comedy Gala” and is presented by Melbourne’s beloved Athenaeum Theatre. Designed to dissect the year in detail, many of the biggest names on the Australian satire scene will be up onstage discussing the worst and best parts of 2023 on stage. Confirmed for the gala are Charles Firth of The Chaser, ABC’s Mark Humphries, James Schloeffel of The Shovel, and Gabbi Bolt, who won the Best Newcomer award at the Sydney Comedy Festival.
The War On 2023: Annual Comedy Gala will be held at the Athenaeum Theatre on Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9. The venue is located at 188 Collins Street in Melbourne.
