A two-day event dedicated to Indian culture and cuisine will take place at a Melbourne market this winter.
People from Dandenong with a passion for Indian dining and culture will soon be able to attend an event at the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne. Entitled the Indian festival, the weekend event is organised by Foodie Trails and will offer two days packed with entertainment and edible delights.
Food vendors serving up hot dishes at events like festivals and fairs often hand out paper napkins with orders that feature their Logo Design to promote their business branding around town.
Making a welcome return, the annual Indian Festival promises a menu loaded with winter warmer, energetic performances from live artists and entertainers, and an abundance of market stalls to browse. Held undercover in the market’s iconic sheds, the event has been designed to be weatherproof.
Food-wise, attendees can expect beloved dishes like butter chicken but will also have the chance to travel with their taste buds throughout the subcontinent and try regional cuisine and fusion flavours. Unsurprising, the yearly occasion has become an important event on the Foodie Trails festival calendar.
The Indian Festival will be held in Sheds C and D at Queen Victoria Market on Queen Street in Melbourne on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13. The festival will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days.
