Business owners from Dandenong will soon be able to take advantage of two seminars as Victoria's Small Business Festival gets into full swing.
The festival is co-ordained by Small Business Victoria on behalf of the government and focuses on providing practical information and skills which entrepreneurs can use immediately to improve their business. The festival runs throughout August across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The first seminar in Dandenong takes place on Thursday August 22 and deals with a mundane but important aspect of running a business - dealing with superannuation. Run by a local accountancy firm, it will cover all aspects of departures for small business owners.
Topics being discussed include how to make sure the relevant obligations for employees are fulfilled correctly and what options small business owners have for themselves when it comes to superannuation.
The second seminar on Thursday August 29 covers marketing for small businesses. The four-hour event run by a local expert will cover both online and offline marketing techniques. Participants will learn how to create popular emails, convert website visitors to sales and a number of other marketing techniques which can be easily implemented.
Both events will also provide a chance to meet other local entrepreneurs, to make new contacts and swap ideas so it may pay to get business card printing up to date before attending.
