Rap icon cruising into Croydon area

Melbourne will be extending a warm welcome to a legendary rapper from America this coming March.

Rap fans from Croydon and other suburbs around the coastal capital will rejoice to hear that US rap star Snoop Dogg will soon be taking to the stage in Melbourne. As part of his upcoming tour of Australia the rapper will be playing at the Rod Laver Arena in honour of his latest release.

Born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, Snoop Dogg rose to fame in 1992 when he appeared on the Dr Dre debut single "Deep Cover", and again on the ex-N.W.A frontman’s solo album called “The Chronic”. Solo artists and groups alike often look to professional Graphic Design Services to set artwork for their album covers.

Snoop Dogg’s own first release, titled “Doggystyle”, was produced by Dr Dre, and released via Death Row Records in 1993 coming straight in at number one in the album chart and the Billboard Top 200, selling 800,000 records in its opening week. His second studio release “Tha Dogfather” enjoyed similar success led by the single "Snoop's Upside Ya Head".

Last year in 2022, Snoop Dogg bought Death Row Records and released his 19th album in the studio, BODR.

Snoop Dogg will now play live at the Rod Laver Arena, located on Olympic Boulevard in Melbourne, on Sunday, March 5. The gig will begin at 7 pm.
