Mayoral exhibition to showcase Croydon artists

Artists throughout Croydon are being encouraged to test their creative limits ahead of the Maroondah City Council’s 27th Annual Mayoral Art Exhibition. Artworks of all mediums are eligible to enter, including ceramics, sculpture, photography, paintings, drawing and printmaking.

Set to run in April, all featured works will be available to purchase at the exhibition, with proceeds going to support the Croydon Branch of the Bone Marrow Donor Institute. This year’s exhibition theme is Reflection, and artists are asked to reflect on their past challenges and their future hopes. Community art exhibitions such as this can benefit from flyer printing to help advertise calls for entry.

Supported by the Maroondah City Council and the Ringwood East Community Bendigo Bank, this event is an important part of the region’s cultural calendar and the chance for artists and art lovers to come together and support a good cause.

Interested artists can submit their works right up until Friday, April 1st, and selected works will be featured in the Maroondah Federation Estate Gallery from April 19th to June 17th 2022. The announcement of the official Mayoral Acquisition and Ringwood East Community Bank Acquisition will take place at the official exhibition opening event held on April 28th.
