A beginner’s course in using a camera is set to run in Croydon this coming winter.
Budding photographers around Croydon will soon be able to attend a course designed for beginners. Covering DSLR camera basics and the principles of photography, the course is ideal for complete novices and those seeking a refresher.
Professional and amateur photographers alike often loom to reliable Print shops for high-quality reproductions and enlargements of their images they can keep or sell as products.
Over two evening sessions attendees can discover all the functions of their DSLR camera, via theoretical and practical learning. Course candidates can get hands on to help them boost their confidence when shooting without automatic mode in play. Expert guidance will be offered to help photographers optimise their use of their camera to achieve their desired results.
Topics covered will include key elements like ISO, aperture, shutter speed, drive modes, exposure compensation, white balance, focus modes and points and image resolution. However creative elements will also be explored like perspective and composition as well as use of equipment. Candidates will learn how different lenses, filters and tripods can impact their work.
The two-date course will be held on Tuesday, July 16 and Tuesday, July 23 at the Croydon Camera House Studio and starts at 7 pm. The studio can be found upstairs on Level 1 at 125 Main Street in Croydon.
