Croydon residents to enjoy photography classes

Expert-led camera tuition will be available in Croydon later this year for photographers who favour a DSLR device.

Introductory classes for people using Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras in Croydon will be held in the suburb this coming spring. Designed to refresh the skills of photographers returning to their craft after a break, as well as to provide beginners with the basic abilities they need, the classes involve both practical applications and theory.

Amateur and expert photographers who do not have access to a dark room often trust professional Print shops to produce high-resolution hard Copies of their best shots for sale or portfolios.

The two-evening course will equip enrolees with a firm grasp on the multiple functions of DSLR cameras. It will also help them build the confidence required to take pictures without using the automatic setting.

The classes will start at 7 pm and end at 9 pm and take place on Tuesday, 12 and Tuesday, 19 November at Croydon Camera House Studio. The cost of admission is $179, and class sizes will involve no more than eight photographers at a time. If attendees bought their camera at Croydon Camera House, the cost of the classes will be discounted to $129.

The studio is located on level one at 125 Main Street in Croydon, and as a result, is not wheelchair accessible.
