An online art exhibition from the Maroondah City Council featuring the works of Myra Carter and Kellie Hoinville has been showing online since July, and Croydon residents are encouraged to check it out before it wraps up at the end of the year.
Myra Carter is a Scottish artist who now calls Warrandyte home, and her textural and vibrant works are inspired by nature’s beauty, wildlife and birds. Carter expresses her emotions through her work and hopes to spread joy to those viewing her artworks through her use of colours and textures.
Kellie Hoinville is a photographer who aims to share her passion for world and the diversity it houses. Hoinville is self-taught, uses only two lenses on a single camera and employs minimal editing in her finished works.
Hoinville is widely travelled and hopes her photography, which focuses on landscapes, portraits, travel, wildlife and street photography, will inspire viewers and aid an appreciation for the world’s diversity. She hopes her artworks will arouse ideas of connections between the audience and the people and places she has captured with her camera.
Galleries often use flyer printing to advertise new exhibitions and the artists involved.
Residents wishing to view the online exhibition can find the link and more information about the Arts Lounge exhibition on the Maroondah City Council's website.
