A venue in Croydon has been announced as the host for an exhibition of works by artists Jody Pratt, Lisa Coutts and Ana Hanson.
Jody Pratt and Lisa Coutts’ artworks examine the often unrecognised and unobserved lives of birds. While birds are ever present in towns and cities - in gardens, parks and flying overhead - they are often not appreciated. Pratt and Coutts seek to celebrate the lives of these winged creatures in this exhibition and remind audiences to pay attention.
The exquisiteness of Australian landscapes is the subject of Ana Hanson’s exhibition, ‘The Spirit of Places’, and like Pratt and Coutts seeks to question the way that the natural world is often overlooked, sitting at the periphery of people’s attention. The collection of landscapes of Victoria and New South Wales explores the relationship between people and their surroundings.
Exhibitions like this can rely on flyer printing services to spread awareness.
The exhibition will be at Wyreena Community Arts Centre, which can be found at 13-23 Hull Road in Croydon, and will run until Saturday, 10 May. The artworks will be present in The Arts Lounge section of the centre.
Viewing times are 9 am to 4 pm Mondays to Thursday, 9 am to 3.30 pm on Fridays and 9 am to 2.45 pm on Saturdays. The centre is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Entry is free.
