Take to the skies at popular Southport festival
Broadwater Parklands, Southport, will be the location for a day of high-flying fun when the family-friendly Gold Coast Kite Festival launches in August.
The festival will feature live demonstrations of kite flying, as well as a multicultural dance competition. Southport festivalgoers can bring their own kites, or can purchase them on the day. A jumping castle will be on site as well as other activities for children, such as face painting; food will be available to purchase. The event is organised by the Indian Community of Gold Coast and is supported by the Multicultural Communities Council, Gold Coast. Poster printing may be used organisers of festivals like this to promote upcoming event. Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Services is also a sponsor for the festival, and may use flyer printing services to share information about their organisation.
The Indian Community of Gold Coast is a not-for-profit organisation which began in 2018 and seeks to promote Indian culture and heritage. The Gold Coast Kite Festival is one of several events run by the organisation, with the purpose being to create opportunities for cultural connections between different communities.
The Gold Coast Kite Festival will be held on The Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade, Southport, on Saturday, August 26. The event runs from 9am until 3pm. The festival is free, but visitors are encouraged to register before the day.
