Southport to hear skate punk icons
A legendary skate punk band from Canada are playing a gig in Southport this coming autumn.
Southport music fans will soon get a chance to enjoy the Australian debut of Canadian skate punk giants Belvedere. The iconic band from Calgary will be arriving in Australia for the first time in their busy career that began back in 1995. May will see them appear at popular Southport music venue Vinnies Dive Bar with support from Australian punk heroes The Decline.
Bars and clubs presenting concerts often use flyer printing services to create leaflets listing bands on the billing to encourage music lovers in the area to attend.
Belvedere have recorded and released seven albums in the studio to date. Their last effort came out in 2021 entitled “Hindsight is the sixth sense” and was hailed as a masterpiece and the best album they have released so far by music critics.
Famed for playing punk at break-neck speeds, the band are named after the1980s sitcom. Impressing audiences across Europe and on their home turf in North America, the band are now bringing their acclaimed live shows to Australia’s east coast.
Belvedere and The Decline will now be on stage at Vinnie’s Dive Bar on Wednesday, May 22. The gig will begin at 7 pm and the venue is based at 44A Nerang Street in Southport. Tickets are priced at $40.55 per person.
