A live music venue in Southport is set to welcome a band that boast a name inspired by the famous animation show, The Simpsons.
Fans of melodic punk rock, metal and hardcore living in Southport are in for a treat this November. Florida’s Evergreen Terrace will be taking to the stage at Vinnies Dive Bar for a single night show to play their classic brand of musical mayhem. Taking their name from the street where the Simpsons live in Matt Groening’s award-winning TV show, the Evergreen Terrace formed in 1999 in Jacksonville. Since then, they have recorded and released seven studio albums, EPs and compilations, becoming a favourite in Oz over numerous visits.
It has been almost ten years since the US group graced Australian shores, but their new post-COVID tour will see them play a series of intimate gigs in select venues across the country originally planned for 2020.
Evergreen Terrace will now perform live at Vinnies Dive Bar, which can be found at 44A on Nerang Street in Southport, on Saturday, December 3. The gig will kick off at 8 pm and fans can expect to hear a set list packed with classic tracks which may include “Mad World” and “Zero”.
