Based Comedy to come to Southport
Cecil Hotel in Southport will be hosting a comedy night on Tuesdays in February.
Originating from the Gold Coast and founded by Josh Armstrong, Based Comedy provides entertainment at corporate events and functions. In addition, it hosts comedy nights on a weekly basis in locations around the Gold Coast, one of them being Southport.
Based Comedy provides both entry level comedians and seasoned professionals with an opportunity to present their routines to the public. Comedians originate not only from Queensland, but all over Australia. Poster printing can be one way for budding comedians to potentially expand their fan base by promoting their upcoming gigs and performances.
Those who want to perform can sign up online on the Based Comedy website. Each performer is allotted five minutes.
As the Cecil Hotel is a bar and a restaurant, the comedy night is only open to those aged 18 years and over. The venue is spacious and has a function space. Though the comedy night will start at 7:30pm, attendees can get there early for a meal and some drinks as the bistro and bar are open from 11am to 8:30pm.
