Annual festival attracts huge line-up of country stars

Country music fans from Southport, Queensland, will be among thousands of locals and visitors at this year's Country Music Festival.

The event brings Australia's top performers to the Gold Coast each year in a free, all-you-can-get country music spectacular spanning three days.

In this, its third year, the festival will once again be set on Broadbeach's pristine beachfront, with events and experiences flowing over into the many venues located on the pedestrian mall.

Organisers said the event promises to be just as exciting and entertaining as in previous years, and will provide the perfect environment to mix banjos and board shorts with steel guitars and surf boards.

Those who follow the country music scene in Australia will be in their element, with shows by a host of big-name stars featuring at venues and on outdoor stages throughout the festival.

Poster printing has been in full swing to provide a preview to the entertainment programme, which is set to feature popular favourites including The Wolverines, Travis Collins, James Blundell, Catherine Britt, The Wolfe Brothers, Beccy Cole, and The ARIA award-winning McClymonts.

In addition to three days of top performances of country classics and favourites, an artist meet and greet will be held at the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on Sunday, June 21st at 11.45am. The festival will be held from June 19th to 21st.
