The development, called HOLM Urban Village, is a collaboration between Urban Pure and Bubbl Up, the latter known for its innovative approach to smaller space living that offers house and land alternatives to apartments. Award-winning architect Amy Degenhart designed the properties, which form part of the Queensland government’s Better Neighbourhoods Logan initiative.
In a statement, Degenhart said:
“As advocates of consolidated communities, we (also) focus on ‘building in’ by providing a compact, user-oriented design with affordability at the core while offering the advantage of owning land in a central and growing location, in this case, pocketed amongst green environmental reserves.”
Degenhart designed the village on a previously unused island of land, with a view to liveability, affordability and flexibility. She says the embedded second dwelling is intended to be adaptive over time or according to circumstances. It could be rented out, used as a work-from-home location or to accommodate young adults or elderly family members.
Real estate promotion often relies on printing services for brochure printing.
The house and land packages will be marketed under half a million dollars, and the homes are anticipated to be constructed by Christmas.
