Upcoming festival to raise funds for community projects

The 40th annual TosaFest is taking place in Wauwatosa next month for two days. Proceeds from this event help to support various community projects.

The festival is set to feature musical performances from such bands as Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience, and artists like Greg Koch and Sam Llanas. There will also be arts and crafts for sale at Artists’ Corner on Harwood Avenue.

The Badgerland Striders Run at Hart Park is part of the festival; fees for this 5K run are $18 for members and $22 for nonmembers in advance, or $25 on the day of the races. Wauwatosa firefighters will be hosting several activities, including a corn roast, dunk tank, and craft beer tent.

Other activities will include the Cupcake and Chile Challenge for $1,000 in prizes, a petting zoo, face painting, make and take crafts, and paper making. Food and drink will also be available for purchase.

This event will likely attract visitors from nearby communities such as Greenfield, and local Stationery printers may be asked to provide Flyers for advertising.

TosaFest will take place in the Village of Wauwatosa from September 11 to 12. Admission is free. Visitors are encouraged to bring nonperishable foods for the Tosa Cares food drive. To learn much more about all of the planned activities, call 262-414-9575.
