Travelers will be able to get nonstop flights between Miami and Milwaukee in the near future.
The new service offered by American Airlines will connect Miami to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, which just a 10-minute drive from Greenfield.
This new route comes hot on the heels of an announcement from United Airlines, which stated it would be offering nonstop flights between Milwaukee International Airport and Fort Myers every day starting in December.
The Miami-Milwaukee service will only run on Saturdays, and American Airlines is the only company to be working this direct route. Poster and brochure printing are often used to advertise new routes and persuade people to travel.
Brian Dranzik, Mitchell Airport’s director, stated that a direct route to Miami was one of the most regularly requested routes from his airport. He added:
“Miami is America’s largest international hub, and this route gives Wisconsin travelers new access to dozens of exciting international markets, including many smaller islands such as Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, and the U.S Virgin Islands.”
Tickets for this new route can be purchased on American Airlines’ app and website. Flights leave at 7:00am from Milwaukee and reach Miami at 11:15am. The reverse route leaves Miami at 9:35am and gets to Milwaukee at 12:05am. This is a seasonal route that starts on November 7 and runs until April 4.
