Friends of Wehr Nature Center will host the Tea Tasting Paired with Chocolate event next month in Franklin, just outside of Greenfield.
A 220-acre nature preserve, Wehr Nature Center provides miles of hiking trails through five distinct habitats. Friends of Wehr Nature Center is a 1,000-member organization dedicated to advocating and maintaining the nature center. The organization also frequently hosts special events for the public, such as the tea tasting in January.
The tasting will be led by entrepreneur Aureal Ojeda of Outwoken Tea. Outwoken Teas partner with family farms in developing nations to grow environmentally friendly teas. The tea tasting is part of a tasting series that explores different fine teas from around the world. The tea that will be featured in January will be the Kenyan Purple tea, a full-bodied tea that is new to the tea scene. Aureal Ojeda will lead the class through how to properly brew the tea, and fine chocolate will be available to pair it with.
Tasting events may include informational Brochures to give out to attendees. Print shops specializing in brochure printing services may be helpful to organizers in cases like this.
The tea testing will be held on January 21 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. It will take place at the Wehr Nature Center at 9701 West College Avenue, Franklin, just three miles from Greenfield. Tickets are $40.
