Next month, the City of Greenfield will hold the Touch a Truck event to teach the community about the trucks and heavy duty machinery used to improve the city every day.
The presenting sponsor of the event is Casper’s Truck Equipment, a local truck accessories store. The Touch a Truck event is specifically designed for children in mind, but it is also open to anyone who would like to learn more about large truck and machinery. Attendees will be able to sit in and touch these vehicles to get a visceral, first-person perspective. Through this interactive event, the City hopes to better inform the public of the integral roles these machines play in helping to build and improve city infrastructure.
The Public Works Department will be present at the event and will show off some of its machines, like cranes and backhoe loaders. Examples of other machines that will be featured include tractors, big rigs, four-wheelers, and dump trucks. Other vendors will be there offering local eats, and AMP Haus will serve cold drinks.
Informative Brochures are often given out to attendees of events like this one. Local Print shops specializing in brochure printing can help with this endeavor.
The free truck event is scheduled for June 18 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. It will take place at Konkel Park on 5151 W. Layton Avenue.
