Next month, the 30th Annual Sprint for Spina Bifida Fun Walk and Roll will take place in Greenfield and will bring with it plenty of fun and festivities.
The Sprint for Spina Bifida event has been raising money for Spina Bifida Wisconsin for the past 30 years. Spina Bifida Wisconsin supports the adults, children, and families of those living with the condition through medical research, resources, and support programs. The event features a fun walk and roll of short and long distances, and is accessibly designed so that anyone can participate. As in previous years, there will also be the bubble memorial to remember those who have passed, a 50/50 raffle, refreshments, and access to the park’s playground for the children.
New to this year’s event will be the VIP package, which will include a discount for special guests with spina bifida. There will also be live music from Acoustic Blue, a book and cake walk for the children, and an opportunity to have customized celebration Signs along the walk route. Every registered participant will receive a green cotton T-shirt with the event Logo Design on it.
The walk and roll is scheduled for Saturday, August 12 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. It will be held at Greenfield Park, which is located at 2028 S 124th Steet, West Allis. General event registration is $30.
