Residents in Greenfield and the surrounding areas are looking forward to the Southeastern Wisconsin Third Annual Outdoor Public Works/Parks/Building and Grounds Expo.
Scheduled for early October, the event will feature vendors, talks, and prizes all centered on grounds maintenance and building.
The expo is one of the largest in the region, drawing more than 50 featured vendors and suppliers, including Allied Safety Products, Envirotech Equipment, Neher Electric, and Spectral Lighting. Visitors will be able to chat and network with the various company reps, building up good contacts for either public works projects or private contracting jobs.
The event will feature a presentation by Ben Schliesman, the Southeastern Regional Director of Wisconsin Emergency Management, who will talk about the role of Public Works in the area of disaster response. After the talk, a free lunch will be provided by Payne and Dolan.
Additionally, door prizes will be raffled away to all participants and a free T-shirt with a special Logo Design for the expo will be provided to all attendees.
The Southeastern Wisconsin Outdoor Public Works/Parks/Building and Grounds Expo will be held on October 6 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Konkel Park, located at 5151 W. Layton Ave. Admission is free, but pre-registration is required by September 27. Anyone interested should check the city website for more info.
