The Greenfield High School Psychology Club and the Greenfield High School Senate will host the Bring Light to Your Cause Walk next month to support four different charities.
The charity walk will raise money for four non-profit organizations: the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin, the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and the Alzheimer’s Association. When paying the registration fee, participants will be able to choose which organization they would like their money to go towards.
When participants arrive at the walk, they will receive a T-shirt with a Logo Design and color that represents the organization they have chosen to support. The event will take place in the evening, so when the sun sets, walkers will also be given glowsticks to symbolize holding a light for their cause.
Attendees are also invited to bring donated items such as themed baskets and gifts cards for the raffle taking place during the event. Everyone is welcome to attend, but children under high school age must be accompanied by an adult.
The charity walk is scheduled for Friday, May 13 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The designated venue will be the Greenfield High School track, which is located at 4800 South 60th Street. Registration fees are $10 for one person and $15 for two people.
