To greet the autumn season, the City of Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department will hold its Fall Family Festival for the community to enjoy fun outdoor activities and fellowship.
This year, the festival will be hosted in tandem with the City’s annual Trick-or-Trot Run/Walk, both being held Konkel Park. The Trick-or-Trot will provide fun for the whole family, with the one-mile walk also doubling as a trick-or-treat route for children. After attendees finish running either the Frankenstein Five (five kilometers) or the Monster Mile Fun Run (one mile), they are invited to join the festival’s fun activities.
The free outdoor event will feature bouncy houses and other inflatables for children to play on, as well as kid-friendly games and activities to give the little ones a chance to win fun prizes and promotional items. For those into dressing up, there will be a youth and adult Halloween costume contest. Various local food vendors and trucks offering refreshments will also be on hand to feed hungry guests.
The Greenfield Fall Family Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 9, beginning at 11:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm. Konkel Park is located on 5151 West Layton Avenue.
