Residents in the Greenville area are getting excited for the latest concert to be sponsored by the city. Beer, Bacon, and Blues is a full evening of live music and interesting food.
The concert is being held at the AMP, a local outdoor ampitheatre in Konkel Park. As such there will be plenty of open space for guests to lay out on a blanket, play some games, and enjoy the music. The performance will be opened by the Alex Wilson Band, who will perform a one hour long set. Afterwards the headliner, the Altered Five Blues Band will take the stage and perform for another three hours.
The event is being done in concert with the city’s Food Truck Friday initiative. This means that the parking lot will be filled with the best of Greenfield’s mobile cuisine. So far eight vendors have confirmed their presence at the show, including the Rolling Cones, Streetza Pizza, and Down N Cheesy. Some of the trucks carry a beer and wine license, so visitors can pick up a bite, a brew, or just some dessert as they listen to the performances.
Beer, Bacon, and Blues will take place on June 23 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Konkel Park, located at 5151 W Layton Ave. Admission to the event is free to the public. Anyone looking for more information should check the city’s newsletter printing or visit the website.
