Greenfield band holds spring concert

People in Greenfield in the surrounding areas are looking forward to the Greenfield Concert Band’s Spring Concert. The event features music, snacks, and beverages in an outdoor setting.

Formed in 2013, the goal of the Greenfield Concert Band is to bring together the talents of local musicians whether they be adults or youth. Their other goal is to bring the many great styles and compositions of great wind band literature together and make it a pleasant experience for the public. The Spring Concert is one of the annual fundraisers, raising the money the group needs for new music, equipment, uniforms, marketing services, and more.

Even though this is a fundraiser, no fee will be charged for tickets. Instead, Classy Girl cupcakes will be sold, and a bar will be set up selling drinks for interested parties. The concert itself will last two hours, combining a wide repertoire of classical compositions, standard tunes, and newer music. A full list of music to be performed has not been released yet, but a booklet printing containing a program will be given out at the performance.

The Greenfield Concert Band Spring Concert will be held on May 12 at the Konkel Park Amphitheatre, located at 5151 W. Layton Ave. Admission to the concert is free of charge. Anyone looking for more information should visit the website.
