Beer garden opens in Greenfield mall

Cobalt Partners and The Brass Tap have come together to create their own beer garden.

They call it The Lokal Beer Garden. It features 8,000 square-feet of wide open lawn space, a large tent to protect patrons from the sun, and a park dedicated to food trucks. Vendors at such parks often visit Print shops to help with marketing.

The establishment has been playing with the idea of creating a mixed indoor/outdoor area that can be used for entertainment and for serving food and drink. It was suggested for the same corner of the mall where The Lokal Beer Garden is being set up. This may be the first stage in assessing the feasibility of a permanent entertainment area.

84 South owns the space and Brass Tap will be in charge of serving the guests. Revelers will be able to taste from more than 40 craft beers while they are entertained by live music, karaoke and trivia. Guests are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs.

Some of the beers that feature include special brews from Eagle Park Brewing. Food will be provided by local favorites such as Heavenly Roasted Nuts, Pop’s Kettle Corn, and Mazorca, among others. Beer lovers will be able to taste famous brews such as the Revolution Sun Crusher and Fox River Blu Bobber.

The beer garden will be open from Thursdays to Sunday until November 1 at the corner of Layton Avenue and 84th Street in Greenfield.
