Annual carnival caters for all the family

The 5th annual Winter Carnival is taking place this February in Milwaukee.

The event, which is curated by Braden Baer, is set to feature a wide variety of activities to appeal to those of all ages. Visiting artist Claire Ashley will be showcasing her painted inflatables for visitors to enjoy, and there will also be games, entertainment, and food for purchase.

Wes Tank will be hosting a guerilla movie making in which the public will help write the script and shoot the movie in two hours. It will be shown at the end of the day.

In addition, artist-in-residence Pegi Christiansen will be creating a winter forest. Patrons can also amused themselves with a daylong sculpture treasure hunt, tree climbing demo, interactive sculpture event, and indoor and outdoor art activities.

The event offers a way for families to celebrate the season and it will no doubt attract visitors from all over the area, including nearby Greenfield. Local flyer printing companies may be asked to provide items like Flyers to aid advertising.

The Winter Carnival will be held at the Lynden Sculpture Garden on February 7 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for seniors, students, and children between the ages of 6 and 17, while a family pass is $20. To learn more about the day's events, call 414-446-8794.
