Virginia Beach to welcome spring with special celebration

Spring has arrived in Virginia Beach, and a local wildlife rescue will be welcoming the season with a special event.

Those who come to the Wildlife Baby Shower Extravaganza, which has been planned by Evelyn’s Wildlife Refuge, will give the public an opportunity to learn about its work. They will have a chance to meet some of its rehabbers in person and find out what they can do to help local wildlife.

The schedule for the day includes an assortment of presentations that involve reptiles and wildlife. The younger guests will be able to make a craft to take home with them, while the sweet-toothed in the crowd may wish to participate in the cake walk or bake sale. Bargain hunters can browse through the items on offer in the yard sale. Banner printing and other services for a fundraiser like this can be provided by a printer in the area.

The monies raised through the activities will be used by the refuge to fund its various activities. The organizer of the day noted that it is a registered nonprofit organization that helps more than 600 animals each year, and is dependent on the generosity of the public to perform its work.

May 19 has been chosen as the date for this event, and it will be held at 2633 Highland Drive in Virginia Beach. The planner’s website includes more information for anyone who needs it.
