Underprivileged kids can access support and services when school is on, and a Virginia Beach activity will help fill the gaps that may occur during the summer months.
The collection drive planned for the city will work to meet the needs of Hampton Roads youth, and has been dubbed “Dear Summer - The Warm Season Project. It is on offer thanks to A Distinct Image Incorporated.
People are asked to dig deep and be as generous as they can when they donate clothing and shoes in sizes for kids and teens. Books will be welcome, as will toys and creative items, and monetary contributions will also help the cause.
To help the donation drive reach its goals, the organizers are seeking the support of both sponsors and volunteers. The organizers will contact any business that would like to lend a hand to explore alignment and how their assistance can best be put to use. Volunteers are also needed, and they can help with collecting donations and other jobs.
Promoting a donation drive like this at the grassroots level may help ensure its success. A flyer printing company can prepare everything from mailers to shopping bag inserts.
The donation drive is scheduled for Saturday, May 16. It will open at 11:00 at 1270 Diamond Springs Road in Virginia Beach.Get a Free Quote for Books
