Virginia Beach will hold Wicked 10K next month, a Halloween-themed “race and party.” The event will take place over two days, with numerous races planned throughout its runtime.
The central race for the event is the 10K run on the second day. Participants will run a course through Virginia Beach’s oceanfront, which will be transformed with spooky Halloween decorations. Other races planned for the two days include a 1K run and a “Monster Mile” race. Participants looking for a challenge can also sign up for the “Pumpkin Smash,” which includes both the 10K and Monster Mile.
Before the event starts, runners will need to pick up their packets. These packets will include a race bib with a timing chip and a participant shirt. These shirts often feature a graphic design tailormade for the event.
Each day will have post-run parties to celebrate Halloween festivities. Organizers will also ready a costume contest. Only those who registered and finished the 1K or 10K runs can partake in the contest.
Wicked 10K will take place from October 29 to 30. Participants can check online for a complete schedule of races and parties. Races will happen close to the Virginia Beach Convention Center, which is located at 1000 19th Street. Registration for the 10K race is $65, and other options range from $25 to $105.
