Virginia Beach plans party in support of local shelter

As Virginia Beach heads into another fall, it will welcome an event that will help to bring homeless companion animals in from the cold.

A drop-in event will soon be held in the community, raising funds for Hope for Life Rescue, which is a no-kill animal shelter. The signature sponsor of the event is Williams DeLoatche, a law firm with a location in Virginia Beach.

Guests at the “Yeehaw for Paws” celebration will be able to enter the pet costume contest, and a free photo shoot will take place. Face painting, “fairy hair,” and working dog demonstrations have been planned, and there will be a variety of vendors on hand in the pop-up market. Everyone can purchase a ticket to try their luck in the basket raffle, and food will be on offer. There will be mini goats to meet and plenty of other fun to be had.

Along with the rest of the excitement, people at the festivities may be able to find the newest member of their family. Stationery printers can supply adoption applications, waivers, and other documents for use by not-for-profit groups.

Hope for Life Rescue will be helping companion animals find new forever homes on Saturday, September 15. The activity will take place at 610 Jack Rabbit Road, and It will get started at 1:00 pm.
