A funding and awareness raising event is set to take place in Virginia Beach, and the public is welcome to lace up their sneakers and join in the walk.
Those who show their support to the 7th Annual Hampton Roads VisionWalk will be helping to increase the community’s knowledge about retinal degenerative disease and also raise funds for research in search of a cure. This activity is the signature event for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Registration will begin at 11:30 am at 31st Street Park, and the walk itself will start at 1:00 pm. The route for the walk is 5km long, and it will see the group stroll along the boardwalk. All ages and levels of ability are welcome. Along the course, refreshments will be served, and according to the organizers, those who participate will be joining thousands of others all across the country who will be joining forces to help prevent blindness caused by retinal diseases. Printing services that can help to make sure an event like this is a success can be sourced from a printer in the local area.
April 15 has been chosen as the date for this funding and awareness-raising activity. Those who would like to find out more about the event, or sign up to be a part of the day’s activities, can do so through its website.
