Virginia Beach goes back in time

Until July 14, the public can see dinosaurs at the Virginia Beach Town Center.

The Jurassic Journey is a free self-guided tour that teaches visitors about different types of time periods, dinosaurs, fun facts, and much more. From 10am until 9pm each day, there will be 20 various exhibits that look real in multiple areas in the Town Center. Select restaurants are offering discounts for participants.

Interested participants should pick up a map in the Fountain Plaza at the Dig Tent. They can also download it online. The map will help them navigate the various exhibits. Aside from the tour, Jurassic Journey also includes other Forms of entertainment. From 5:30pm until 9pm, there will be live entertainment. The Dino Dancers will appear doing weekends from 3pm to 6pm.

Children and adults can meet TC-Rex and touch or take photos with the lifelike dinosaur on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm. On July 12 at 6pm until 9pm, there will be a dance party with the Dino Dancers and Dino DJ-JR.

In the dig tent, there will be activities for digging up and rubbing fossils and making chalk art Sunday through Thursday from 10am until 6pm. The activities are available until 8pm on Friday and Saturday.
