A Virginia Beach celebration that will make the 249th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corp will be taking place in Virginia Beach, and this early November event will be stepped in tradition.
The 249th Marine Corps Birthday Ball is right around the corner, and it will celebrate this branch of the military’s dedication to service. It will also recognize the sacrifices made by Marines and their families, and the Guest of Honor for the event will be Sgt. Maj Carlos A. Ruiz.
The function will open with a cocktail hour reception and mixer, and it will then be time for the ceremonies that officially begin the occasion. A dinner will be followed by music and dancing, and the evening will offer lots of opportunities for the guests to mingle, catch up with old comrades in arms and have a great time. Marines are asked to wear their Blue Dress “A” or Evening Dress, civilians are asked to wear black tie or formal attire.
Formal dinners, anniversaries and other special events hosted by an organization are often full of tradition that may not be known to the general public. Programs that explain these and the history behind them can be prepared by a brochure printing company.
This salute to the 249th Anniversary of the Marine Corps will open its doors at 18:00 hrs (6:00 pm) on November 6th. The Virginia Beach Convention Center has been reserved for the occasion.
