Historically, each flower included in a bouquet had its own meaning, and a Virginia Beach event planned in honor of Mother's Day will capture the spirit of these days gone by.
The planners of the Mother's Day Craft Tea have scheduled two start times on the same date, and they will both include a crafting project utilizing dried flowers. Passes for the occasion are $45 each.
Each attendee will be preparing a wreath they can keep or give to mom, and as they work, they will learn about the meanings of the flowers they choose. They will all walk away with a unique creation, and a tour of the venue and a casual service featuring cream tea are both on the agenda. Anyone who would like to find out more can contact the host at 757-385-5100.
A Mother's Day activity shows moms how much they matter. Stationery printers can supply everything from personalized event Invitations to Journals paired with promotional Pens so they can record their experiences for the future.
The start times for these hands-on crafting classes will be 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, with Mother’s Day itself being that Sunday. The Virginia Beach History Museum will be the venue for the evening, located at 4409 Wishart Road. Both sessions run for an hour and a half.
