Virginia Beach concert series continues

A live concert will be held in Virginia Beach this August as part of the ongoing Oceanfront Concert Series.

Next week’s event headliner will be the Nashville-based musical group Moon Taxi. The group offers whimsical, interactive sounds that entertain audiences of all ages, with influences from soul, folk, and electronic pop music.

The band has been going since 2006 and has released six full-length albums, with the latest of these being “Silver Dream,” released in 2021 and spawning the singles “Hometown Heroes” and “Light Up.” The band consists of five members - Trevor Terndrup on vocals, Spencer Thomson on guitar, Tommy Putnam on bass, Wes Bailey on the keyboard, and Tyler Ritter as drummer.

The concert is organized as a part of a free series meant to present the residents of the town with a weekly musical treat. For this session, attendees should note that the venue does not permit alcohol, pets, and a variety of other items, a complete list of which is available on the Beachevents listing.

This event will be free to attend, and there is no need to register. Banner printing may be a helpful way to create creative backdrops as the band performs at events such as this one.

This event will take place on Wednesday, August 9 at 24th Street Park, Virginia Beach. It begins at 7:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm.
