There are many species of butterflies and moths that call Virginia Beach home, and an upcoming excursion will introduce these pretty Flyers to the public.
An outing scheduled for August will be on the hunt for swallowtail butterflies, and the attendees may be lucky enough to spot other species as well. It will be facilitated by a subject matter expert, and a rain date has been set in case the weather proves to be uncooperative.
The registrants will set out from 350 Independence Boulevard, and it will head to a local butterfly garden. The guide will point out the various types of butterflies and also the plants they count on to survive. There will be lots of time to take pictures, and everyone will find out how to look for eggs and caterpillars. Its listing explained that the activity may be enjoyed by all skill levels, and before they head for home, everyone will be invited to stop for a drink at a local pub.
A nature-based activity can be a lot of fun as well as educational. Field guides may be distributed to the attendees so they can continue to make discoveries on their own, and they can be prepared by Stationery printers.
The Butterfly Bliss: Guided Tour, Photography and Pub outing is scheduled for August 24th. It will depart from the meet up point at 10:30 pm.
